Randall David Tipton
It looks haunting -- and haunted. Beautiful.
your brush in your hand speaks mystery well ...
I have to say, Randall, that I lean most strongly toward your more abstracted paintings, like this one. I don't know what that says about me, maybe nothing more than that I like abstract work. This one I'd say is abstract-expressionistic, and yet it's also entirely recognizable as a natural setting. There is an eeriness about this painting or, as Glynn and Susan say, a haunting quality or mysteriousness. The title has an apt dual meaning, as I am sure you know that slough means not only swamp or marsh but also hopeless depression (is there any other kind?).
