Coast Stream Study

Never underestimate what a nice person can do. Yesterday Carol Marine praised my work in her blog, today my counter has gone crazy. Two more weeks before the end of this residency. The Big Idea I came here to develop, hasn`t much. I have four long canvases waiting yet everything I want to paint is vertical. This won`t remain unresolved.

It's very interesting reading the comments you're getting; apparently, a lot of people are seeing your stuff as good medicine. Your oils are looking like watercolors, and I love the broken texture in these Sitka pieces. I'm so looking forward to your horizontal going vertical. Or vice versa... Let your trees do the talking; they're always so eloquent.

Yes, you are the "tree master"...they must talk to you or something don´t they.
I am glad Carol gave her followers the tip...now more people can admire your work.

Just start on the long canvas, I have found the best thing is just to start. Color gets everything going.

I am drawn into this work . I also see a little more detail (smaller forms) than usual- this is not a bad thing. You're working toward horizontal... just put the brush on one. Easy for me to say but I'm not having much success with my own challenge for this year. I can't painting anything bigger that 240 sq. inches.

Of course, I had to check you out after Carol said she was digging your stuff! She was right. I love your style. It's all your own. I'll be watching for more.
