Spring/Lake Peak from Chimayo

1989.
That groove between the foothills running up into the mountains is so fascinating. I think it might be the watershed of the Santa Cruz River. I drew and painted it many times. In beautiful fertile Chimayo New Mexico, the views are stunning.

Thanks for showing this one. We'll be there in a couple of weeks and I want to see what you saw.
Lovely.

I spent a bit of time in Chimayo and loved it--and the food and art we found there.

Your painting makes me want to go back. I particularly like how you've painted the tree in the foreground. Lovely as usual.

Awesome painting and LARGE --this would not have been so interesting as a small painting.
