Light In The Forest, Moonlight Over The Sea. Either way, I'm really liking the way you make the light fall.

Perhaps it's the writer in me but I think this has a very romantic feel about it. Those greens and yellows over the inky blue-black almost look like watercolor and the brushstrokes visible on enlargement produce a roiling effect. There's also a sense of anticipation, as if any second, the clouds will move and the moon appear.

I could definitely lose myself in that sky! And the cloud-walking woman in the lower left seems to have done so - a neat little extra my mind created, I guess. Beautiful work, as always.

This reminds me of a moonlit night in Maui, looking down into the water between waves. Just magical.

I just returned from my summer house and the moon is so much more obvious to me there. When I sit in my living room and look out over the ocean your painting represents just what I see. This is a very timely painting for me.
