The Magnolia at Night

I went back to the tree I mentioned and photographed it at night.

As lovely as your other magnolias are, this one is especially striking. The idea of magnolias at night is poetic to me.

You have to get "night" and "magnolia" in the title. That's impossibly elegant and romantic!

A very elegant piece. The color is missing so everything is in the composition and values and you've created a stunning work here.

Another amazing painting. Love how unusual an idea this was, too.
Thanks for your email. I'll try to keep Gadjo (the Siamese) happy. ;)

I love your magnolias. having painted this flower several times I am particularly drawn to the subject.

I was wondering where Roderick Usher could meet flowers... Just here: magnolias according to Edgar Allan Poe, before the Fall... The perfect stage curtain for Claude Debussy's musical sketches or Peter Hammill's work. Haunting!
