Winter Fog in the Forest

This is an improvisation melding two different landscapes, one local and one of a coastal forest. I`m not yet convinced it`s right. Those two trees remind me of opera singers, which I`m not sure I like.

I was happy going along, thinking of how gooj the cool greens feel and how the gentle the pinks and peaches are. Now all I can see are Mimi and Rodolfo. She's the big one.

I do really like two things (and I didn't say it's exclusive...): the way you play with the lights on the ferns, and above all the darkness and negative spaces of the trees upper part. If you play again with this one, don't loose this strength. If I dare to say, of course.

I love this! Very magical. I don't know how you accomplish these effects with oil!I thought it was watercolor or acrylic.

I agree those two trees look as though they are center stage, almost figurative. I think the painting is a winner!
