Home

This painting is from 1990 and seems in the spirit of the Mountain West where I`ve been for three weeks. We got home yesterday after seeing so much beauty my head is swimming. Yellowstone was stunning with many jewel-like geothermal features, and an unexpected surprise were the canyons of Eastern Oregon. They were at their peak of spring vitality. Even photographing from a moving car you can see how gorgeous the hills are right now. There are so many paintings in my head, I can only hope to get them all out. watermedia on paper 40"x28"

Of all the times I've been out West, I've yet to get to Yellowstone.

Looking forward to seeing what makes it to the canvas or paper.

Welcome home, I can hardly wait to see the results of your time away, both what you painted in Wyoming and what you paint in response to memory of place.
