In spring 2013, a combination of high temperatures in the Rocky Mountains along with heavy rains led to a sudden melt and devastating floods in southern Alberta that broke the 300 year records. Yet climate change denial is rampant here too.Dr Sock https://www.blogger.com/profile/13378594360241846301noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3188700731713860207.post-49362808763688809192014-02-06T20:32:45.895-08:002014-02-06T20:32:45.895-08:00Love this one especially, Randall! So I'm campaigning to ditch the "global" description and call it the appropriate LOCAL name: climate change. I feel so badly for California right now, although I know we will all soon feel the economic impact. And apparently, if there are fires in Oregon, the drought impacts the entire west coast. Did not know that!Katherine Harrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00926173580990033616noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3188700731713860207.post-26743301095106579102014-02-06T05:41:19.642-08:002014-02-06T05:41:19.642-08:00I have enjoyed these last two postings. I feel like we are watching the West slowly implode/collapse because of the exploitation of that resource over such a long period of time. Your subjects featuring water always kind of underscore that idea for me. Thanks!Libby Fifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13532162740012986996noreply@blogger.com
