The painting went south this week so I revised this one from 08. I changed the angle of the dead tree, which came to seem wrong in the last year. An advantage and drawback to having images of all my work on a hard drive is it allows for endless reconsideration and revision. I`ve killed more than one painting by 'fixing' it, but here I think it`s better.
This is the Hoh Rainforest on the Olympic Peninsula.
You really amaze me! Those brushstrokes actually ripple. Why?
ReplyDelete(That's a rhetorical question; please don't ruin things by explaining them.)
yeah,,,those brushstrokes....wow!
ReplyDeleteyeah, the artdog was right...just let us gaze in wonder :)
I look for your work everyday on the Daily Painters site and am always captivated by it
ReplyDeleteI haven't commented much lately, but I certainly enjoy each and every visit to your blog. You seem to have an infinite store of creative expression.
ReplyDeleteI am so far behind (and I'm usually not) in coming here.
ReplyDeleteThe effect you achieve with the water is wonderful. Whatever the "fix" you made, I like it.
The effect of light in this painting is also beautifully achieved.
