Another New Work!
I`m working on some small watercolors which are painted on a plastic paper called Yupo. I`m sealing them with a spray UV varnish and mounting them on a cradled panel. No mat or glass! These are improvisations on landscape themes I`ve been playing with.

New Work!
Maybe small, but I did it last week. A forest study. I do so much poking around in the woods, I`m able now to just start painting them. I think something may be different in my brain. I noticed when I last drew from the figure that my memory was as important as what I was looking at. Hope that`s more meaningful than just internalized formula. Anyway, something new. Haven`t done much since my brother got sick.

Low Water
For about two weeks in late September, the shallow lake which is Oaks Bottom dries out enough to walk into. Not quite meadow, too solid for swamp, it`s wide open,beautiful and rare.
