Moonlight Over the Sea

  1. Light In The Forest, Moonlight Over The Sea. Either way, I'm really liking the way you make the light fall.

  2. Perhaps it's the writer in me but I think this has a very romantic feel about it. Those greens and yellows over the inky blue-black almost look like watercolor and the brushstrokes visible on enlargement produce a roiling effect. There's also a sense of anticipation, as if any second, the clouds will move and the moon appear.

  3. I could definitely lose myself in that sky! And the cloud-walking woman in the lower left seems to have done so - a neat little extra my mind created, I guess. Beautiful work, as always.

  4. This reminds me of a moonlit night in Maui, looking down into the water between waves. Just magical.

  5. I just returned from my summer house and the moon is so much more obvious to me there. When I sit in my living room and look out over the ocean your painting represents just what I see. This is a very timely painting for me.
