This is the painting that`s confounded me, I hope it`s finished but I`m not sure. Finding the right balance between atmosphere and detail is the issue.
I like the combination of the abstract background and the realistic foreground, which seem to vie for attention. The sense of marsh land does come across. The creams-yellows-orangey-reds and green-blues are lovely.
It has a wonderful, tranquil, zen-like quality. A nice balance.
