Dusk on the Creek

2004.
I`ve been working intently on a small piece and it just isn`t coming together. I have that ridiculous feeling that I now have so much invested, I must persist. Or, get on with my life, cut bait, run away! It`s uncomfortable.

Really nice, Randall. The almost-smokiness mutes the blues. Beautiful.

Do you know how often writers abandon what they've started? However, they usually save the stuff and eventually come back to it.

Your blues, like your reds, are beautiful.

I would swear I saw this water moving when I opened the link. It's beautiful.

Moving,,,it was flowing off the screen.....I swear I do not take mind altering "things" :) your work just takes me away....to good places of course. These blues are so calming .....

When I have that feeling I usually slog on knowing that even if the painting is a failure, I'm probably learning more from it that I would from a more successful painting.

I like your work, it's complicated and interesting.
