Fog in the Forest

The purpose of my upcoming residency at Sitka is to work on some really long pieces. I wanted to do something sort of large before I go. This is based on the smaller 'Fog on the Mountain 3'.

A residency at Sitka? Lucky lucky you! How long do you get to stay? Was thinking of renting a house on the beach in Neskowin.

You'll do wonderful work at Sitka, I know.

Mural length, I'm thinking you mean? Can't wait to see them.

I look forward to what you produce during your residency. I'm sure it will be an exciting and rejuvenating experience. Working large frightens me- so much space to fill up.

Randall, can you blog a bit about working large? Do you stretch your canvases before or after working on them? I find it frightening but exhilarating - would like to give it a go!

Wonderful piece and good luck at Sitka. I am working on a 24 in high by 3 foot long cacti piece....
the imaginary world of Arizona.
Thanks for my dose of inspiration for the day.
