Not a sunset or a statement about the Gulf oil spill. I was just craving red. I also needed a break from the large complicated landscape I`m working on. It sounds melodramatic, but each session with these big pieces is like entering an arena. Most of the time, eventually, I arrive at a resolution and a decent painting. But there is a lot of chaos getting there.

When I saw this on my sidebar, I had to pop over and see what all the red was about - since it's mostly cool blues and greens I find here. I like this - a lot of energy and power in it already!

Wonderful to go with feelings to different areas... This painting of yours takes me back to Southern Utah red desert rocks
