Winter Creek Study

Another older piece. We returned Monday, and I set up my paints after unpacking. Soon the power went out and stayed off into the night. The next morning our startled cat bit John on the hand. It began to feel odd so he went to the clinic. They sent him to the ER and then he was admitted into the hospital. Tonight is his second night there! Poor guy, I had no idea cat bites could be so dangerous! I painted some today but it`s been a crazy re-entry into my life. watermedia on paper 5.5"x10"

I love your winter creek study. Sorry to hear about the cat bite. Sending healing vibes ~~~ that a good round of antibiotics has John out of the hospital real soon.
Stay inspired!

I'm so sorry your lives have been disrupted and can only imagine what John has to say about the cat now! Goodbye cat!
A few years ago I went into the hospital for surgery on my thumb. During prep the nurse got all excited about a scratch on my hand and was ready to cancel the surgery. The doctor said no he'd take care of it, so during surgery he simply cut out all the affected flesh and sutured it. That part was slower healing than the main surgery. Cats are really filthy little things. I'm so sorry he's laid up.

I love the painting; and am so sorry about John's bite. Cat bites can be especially nasty (I used to work for a vet so I know and have had my share of them). It takes some strong antibiotics to get the bacteria out of the system so I'm glad he's getting care. Sending you both healing vibes that life settles down soon :)

Oh no! Poor John... my friend just suffered a bite from her cat too. She was in the hospital for 3 or 4 days! I hope he's feeling better soon. Love the painting, and look forward to seeing your new ones when things calm down.
