Saw the Ocean Park Richard Diebenkorn exhibition at the Corcoran yesterday, both in afternoon and evening light (the canvases so changed!). Terrific show. His cigar box paintings are wonderful.
I envy you two being able to see the Ocean Park exhibit. I've seen some of them, at his SF retrospective in the 90s. Such lovely work... and how wonderful that you were able to study with him, Randall. Your work is your own, yet similar... and better, of course! Yes, I'm prejudiced.
